EFRI BUDDY 2022./ 2023. - applications open
Be a part of the new EFRI Buddy generation!
The Faculty of Economics of the University of Rijeka and the EFRI Career Center continue with Mentoring Program Senior Students for Younger Students - EFRI buddy for the academic year 2022/2023!
We invite our students to join the project and with their knowledge, skills and experience support freshmen with the challenges they face at the beginning of their student life.
The tasks of the EFRI buddy are to organize monthly meetings for "their" group of freshmen during the winter semester (as needed), where they will inform them about current issues important for studying and student life.
The first meeting will be in the first week of October, ie the Freshmen's Week.
Students selected for Buddy - will be prepared for questions of freshmen through the educational workshop "EFRI for freshmen" where they will learn more about the basic process of enrollment in the first year of undergraduate study (forms, Studomat, ...) important concepts with which freshmen meet for the first time, EFRI opportunities, navigating the Faculty (professional services, old Faculty building,…), etc. Also, all selected Buddy, after the introductory meeting are obliged to pass workshops on presentation skills and organization of events that will be organized. Buddies will also be involved in the organization of Freshmen Week, and will also participate in individual presentations for high school students.
During and after the project, Buddy will:
- have the opportunity to develop their organizational, presentation and communication skills and attend the training: "EFRI for freshmen"
- get volunteer hours
- obtain a certificate from the Faculty of Economics in Rijeka on participation in the project
Do you want to become an EFRI buddy and support the new generation of freshmen in overcoming the challenges of student life ?!
Buddy selection criteria:
- student who first (winter) semester ac. year 2022/2023 does not go abroad to study / practice (ERASMUS +, CEEPUS, etc.)
- a student with a minimum average of 3.5 and passed all courses
- compulsory attendance at the "EFRI for freshmen" training and workshops on presentation skills and organization of events upon confirmation of selection for the EFRI buddy
Additional criteria:
- active in a student association
- practical knowledge acquired through work on student jobs, projects, competitions, ..
- knowledge of English
