EFRI Career Week
The Faculty of Economics and Business, University of Rijeka, and the EFRI Career Center proudly announce the seventh annual Career Week – a unique event that connects students, industry experts, and leading employers and organizations, all aimed at career development and professional networking.
This year’s Career Week will take place from November 11 to November 15, 2024, at the Faculty of Economics and Business in Rijeka, offering five days filled with inspiring lectures, workshops, panel discussions, and networking opportunities with employers. The goal of the event, as always, is to provide students with direct exposure to the business world, foster experience exchange with industry professionals, and introduce current job and career opportunities.
What does the program include?
The program features a rich lineup of lectures by experts from various sectors. Students will also have the opportunity to visit employer and nonprofit organization booths, where they can learn about various career development opportunities – from internships and traineeships to long-term employment and volunteer work.
A special highlight of the event is the panel discussion titled "What Do Employers Want?", scheduled for Wednesday, November 13. This panel will gather renowned HR and employment experts, including Luka Ćurković (Plodine d.d.), Ana Iskra (Rijeka Gateway), Željko Marković (HZZ Rijeka), Lana Rendulić (ORBICO), and Mladenka Tomić (Fabula d.o.o.). Moderated by Jelena Novačić (NVL d.o.o.), the panelists will address key questions that concern students as they transition from academic life to the job market, covering topics like required skills, adaptability, employer expectations, and how to stand out among candidates.
For high school students – a first look into higher education and career opportunities!
The last day of Career Week, Friday, November 15, is dedicated to high school seniors, offering them an inside look at the EFRI academic community. During their visit to the Faculty of Economics and Business in Rijeka, they will attend presentations, connect with current students, and participate in interactive activities to learn more about study programs, student life, and the many possibilities and advantages that EFRI provides for building a successful career.
We invite all students and high school seniors to join Career Week, take advantage of networking, learning, and personal growth opportunities, and start building their future careers with the support of experts and peers. EFRI is here to support your ambitions and open doors to new opportunities!
