EFRI Christmas packages for the Social Self-Service
In 2021, the Faculty of Economics and Business of the University of Rijeka will also fulfill the wishes of Social Market users, which will brighten up the upcoming holidays. This year, too, we will prepare gifts for people with lower financial status, usually the elderly, sometimes without their own home, some of them with disabilities, and they all have one common denominator - they are alone in life.
In cooperation with the Social Supermarket, we found out who they are and what they really need, and we received a list of their wishes that are not similar to typical Christmas gifts
Anyone who wants to participate in the action can join in two ways.
1. To fulfill the wishes submitted to us by the users - the document contains a list of wishes, to which you can enter your name and contact information if you want to buy that particular gift.
We have removed the names from the list because that is not the goal of this giveaway - but to everyone who decides to buy a gift and deliver it themselves, we will be happy to tell you who it is and forward the contact. On the gift, write what is in it so that it gets into the right hands.
2. We will collect food and hygiene items for users of the Social Supermarket - flour, oil, canned goods, shampoos and everything else that is needed in everyday life
· You can bring your packages to the Multipurpose Hall 1/I until Wednesday, December 22 at 2 p.m. floor.
· Write a greeting card on the gift, who it is from and what is in the gift, as well as the serial number from the table so we know who it is intended for.
· The list will be supplemented with more precise information (e.g. number of shoes, etc.) - we will send you more information about the product when you register on the list next to the gift you have chosen.
· If you decide to donate food that is fresh or has a limited shelf life (e.g. meat), you can do it by buying a voucher or announcing the day before.
· One or more persons who agree can be registered for a particular gift.
· The value of the donation is approximately HRK 200 per person.
· The action envisages the collection of new products only, and no donations of second-hand goods or used products are foreseen.
