Saša Drezgić is the new dean of the Faculty

Faculty of Economics and Business, University of Rijeka, after two consecutive mandates of the board headed by  Alen Host, PhD got a new dean who will take office at the beginning of the new academic year.

Saša Drezgić PhD is a longtime professor of the Faculty who has published a significant number of scientific and professional publications, he has participated in numerous international scientific conferences, he is the initiator of the program content and organization of the conferences Economics of Digital Transformation, he is an editor of the Faculty Collection of Papers as well as head of the postgraduate specialist study.

For many years he led CLER ( Center for Local Economic Development of the Faculty of Economics in Rijeka), the first company founded by an academic institution in the Republic of Croatia, establishing cooperation between associations, businesses, and the public sector, and academic institutions.

Prof. Drezgić pointed out in his program that he will manage the Faculty based on the principles of scientific and teaching excellence, transparency, openness, connection with the economy, public sector, and the wider community, institutional credibility, justice, and solidarity, internationalization, student integration, and inclusion.

The achieve the set goals, in the direction of further increasing the quality of studies, increasing high employability of students, and scientific quality and production, he emphasizes the importance of synergy of all stakeholders through solidarity, fair and selfless relations and emphasizes that "business results of the Faculty ultimately are never the result of an individual, but exclusively of the entire team, whose success can only be built on strong interpersonal relationships and synergistic action."
