Summary
The basic goal of the project is to provide theoretical and empirical foundations of rising the efficiency of the society by implementing smart city concept, as one of the key contemporary development models. Within the framework of the new system, each tier of the public financing system is going through disruptive transformation. It is about integrated connection of physical, societal and information infrastructure, which embodies the level of collective intelligence of state, region or city. The goal of development of such platforms is to increase efficiency of both public and private sector, which will enable matching of growing societal needs. In practical sense, the task of the project is to envisage mechanism by which modern states can use available information-communication technologies (Internet of Things), and within framework of redefinition of public financing system, territorial-administrative organization, new relations between tiers of government, and better and new public services rise productivity of overall society. At the regional level, it is important to analyze technological development spillover effects on interregional and intraregional dynamics and new mechanism of stimulating development. Concept of „Big data", „Smart infrastructure" and „Smart buildings" integrated through the concept of „Internet of things" is crucial for implementation of the smart city concepts. We will research these concepts through theoretical and empirical studies but also by empirical and simulation analysis. Key role in data collection is in sensors integrated within „smart infrastructure" and „smart buildings" which communicate through the „Internet of things" platform. Finally, we will research „Big data" concept in order to determine mechanism of collection, storage and analysis of large quantity of data with a goal to provide systemic solutions on management and optimization of urban community in real time.
