About the undergraduate study programms
The Faculty of Economics and Business in Rijeka carries out two undergraduate study programs: Economics and Business Economics.
Undergraduate study programs last for three years – six semesters, and upon the completion of the program, students receive the academic title Bachelor in Economics, univ. bacc. oec.
Undergraduate studies are being carried out in two ways: as full-time and part-time study programs.
Full-time students receive the financial support from the Ministry of Science and Education, whereas part-time students pay tuition fees.
Full-time students have certain rights during their studies, such as: health insurance, subsidized meals, accommodation in student housing etc.
Part-time students attend classes in the afternoon, so that they can work and study.
The individuals who completed a corresponding four-year secondary education program and passed the secondary school exit exams (state Matura) have the right to enroll in an undergraduate study program. Students enroll in an undergraduate study program via "Postani student” system.
Depending on the chosen undergraduate study program (Economics or Business Economics) and study track, the acquired qualification of the Bachelor in Economics/ Business Economics enables the students to find a job and carry out demanding professional work at partnerships, companies and state administration.
Some of the occupations for Bachelors in Economics are: low-level and middle-level managers in different activities, the CEOs of small/ medium-sized companies and other institutions, and other business-organizational and related experts, business experts for finance and banking, analysts, PR or HR experts etc.
