It is intended for heads of controlling, planning and analysis, internal audit, financial experts, analysts, planners, internal auditors, accountants, managers, board members, and other relevant professionals. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The aim of the program is to educate highly competent controllers\u2014professionals who are in high demand and play a key advisory role in supporting management and executive boards. Controlling, as an integrated management function, helps guide companies toward achieving strategic goals. The program develops the ability to align objectives and plans and to monitor their implementation. Participants are trained to analyze business performance while considering potentials, opportunities, and risks both within and outside the organization. The program emphasizes performance evaluation, proposing concrete solutions, and benchmarking against best business practices. Special attention is given to the development of reporting systems and information systems for timely and high-quality decision-making. The program also promotes responsibility, efficiency, and socially responsible management of business processes. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Program duration:<\/strong> 1.5 years <br><strong>ECTS credits awarded:<\/strong> 60 ECTS <br><strong>Language of instruction:<\/strong> Croatian <br><strong>Location:<\/strong> EFRI <br><strong>Mode of delivery:<\/strong> Hybrid (online and in-person lectures) <br><strong>Academic title awarded:<\/strong> Specialist in Economics (<em>spec. oec.<\/em>) <\/p>\n\n\n\n<details class=\"wp-block-details is-layout-flow wp-block-details-is-layout-flow\"><summary>GENERAL ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS AND CRITERIA <\/summary>\n<p>The university specialist study program may be enrolled by candidates who have: <\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>completed a graduate university study program leading to the academic title of Master (magistar) or equivalent <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>completed an undergraduate university study program and obtained a higher education degree in accordance with regulations in force prior to the Act on Scientific Activity and Higher Education <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>completed a professional graduate study program, with the obligation to pass additional (bridging) exams determined by the higher education institution, or have at least five years of work experience in the field of the study program <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Additional Admission Requirements<\/strong> <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The program is open to candidates who have completed a four-year university study program (under the old system) or a graduate university study program (minimum 300 ECTS) in economics or business economics. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Candidates who have completed studies in other fields may enroll under additional conditions, namely: <\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>a minimum of two years of relevant professional experience in a field related to controlling <br><strong>or<\/strong> <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>proof of knowledge of basic economic subjects by passing the following courses: Principles of Economics, Management, and Accounting <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/details>\n\n\n\n<details class=\"wp-block-details is-layout-flow wp-block-details-is-layout-flow\"><summary>ENROLLMENT INFORMATION (CALL FOR APPLICATIONS, ONLINE APPLICATION, AND REQUIRED DOCUMENTATION) <\/summary>\n<p>Applications are submitted by completing the <strong>online application form<\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In addition, for a successful application, candidates must submit the required documentation in person or by post: <\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>list of required application documents (DOC \/ PDF) <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>curriculum vitae (CV) <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>certified copy of the diploma (applicants who graduated from the Faculty of Economics and Business, University of Rijeka, or those with a digital diploma are not required to certify the copy) <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>transcript of grades from graduate\/undergraduate studies <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>certificate of personal identification number (OIB) <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>applicant\u2019s statement or employer\u2019s statement (in written form) confirming payment of tuition fees <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>electronic employment record (e-work booklet) <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>applicants who obtained their degree at a foreign university must, at their own expense, submit a decision from the competent authority on the academic recognition of their foreign higher education qualification <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>TUITION FEE:<\/strong> \u20ac4,500.00 <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Application deadline:<\/strong> December 31, 2025 <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Applications should be submitted to: <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>FACULTY OF ECONOMICS AND BUSINESS, UNIVERSITY OF RIJEKA<\/strong> <br>Office for Postgraduate Studies <br>(Application for admission to the Specialist Study Program Controlling) <br>Ivana Filipovi\u0107a 4 <br>51000 Rijeka <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Note: Upon enrollment, a Study Contract is signed with the student.<\/em> <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If an insufficient number of eligible applicants apply, the Faculty reserves the right not to run the program in the academic year 2025\/2026.<strong> <\/strong> <\/p>\n<\/details>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The program is designed to provide additional knowledge to individuals already working in controlling or related functions, as well as those who wish to pursue a professional career in this field.
