Crowdfunding workshop - only for ALUMNI EFRI
Free online workshop on Crowdfunding, a popular way of group financing through which more than 30 billion dollars is raised each year, will be held on the Zoom platform organized by the Faculty of Economics and Business, University of Rijeka, Rijeka, Republic of Croatia.
Crowdfunding campaigns are alternative financing mechanisms that enable companies, the public sector, associations and startups to present their ideas to the whole world and realize them without using traditional ways of borrowing.
The online workshop entitled "Crowdfunding as innovation within the Blue Economy Sector" will be held on Thursday, June 25 from 11.30 to 13.00.

LECTURER
Francesca Passeri (Director of Public Affairs) has a solid background in regional development and European Affairs. She joined ECN in February 2016 and, having previously worked for the Emilia-Romagna Delegation to the EU, she has a strong interest in dissemination of knowledge about crowdfunding through regional and local authorities. She is responsible for advocacy and the roll out of the national strategic groups and technical assistance, within ECN. She is focused on exploring synergies and possibilities for the integration of crowdfunding into European Structural and Investment Funds. She holds a Master’s Degree in International Relations from the University of Bologna, where she focused on researching the potential of crowdfunding for regional development from a European perspective. Francesca is a member of the Executive Board of ECN.
The lecture is organized within the project Capacity Building of BLUE Economy Stakeholders to Effectively use CROWDFUNDING (BLUE CROWDFUNDING) funded by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF).
