The Faculty of Economics and Business, University of Rijeka, is the first constituent of a Croatian university to offer an accredited online university graduate (Master’s) programme in Business Economics taught in Croatian, enabling students to pursue their studies in a virtual learning environment from anywhere in the world.
All courses are delivered entirely online, and examinations are also conducted online under controlled conditions.
Students enrolled in the online study programme study on a part-time basis.
The University Graduate Study Programme in Business Economics offers the following specialisations in the part-time online format:
- Entrepreneurship (online)
- Management (online)
- Finance (online)
Students select their preferred specialisation upon enrolment in the first year of the programme.
About the Programme
Duration: 4 semesters (2 years)
ECTS credits: 120
Admission Requirements:
Applicants must meet one of the following requirements:
- Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Economics or Business Economics obtained through a university undergraduate study programme; or
- Have successfully completed the Bridging Programme for the Acquisition of the Knowledge, Skills and Competences Required for Admission to University Graduate Study Programmes at the Faculty of Economics and Business, University of Rijeka.
Qualification Awarded: University Master of Economics (sveučilišni magistar/magistra ekonomije), abbreviated as univ. mag. oec. (120 ECTS credits).
Further Study Opportunities: Upon successful completion of the university graduate study programme and the acquisition of 120 ECTS credits, graduates meet the academic requirements for admission to a relevant doctoral or postgraduate specialist study programme, subject to the specific admission criteria of the programme concerned.

Tution Fees
ANNUAL TUITION FEE for part-time online study:
- Croatian and EU citizens: EUR 950 per academic year.
- International students enrolled in the Finance specialisation (online, part-time): EUR 950 per academic year, plus an enrolment fee of EUR 132.72.
