Internship is an essential part of education at the Faculty of Economics and Business, University of Rijeka. By working in companies, institutions and other organisations, students can apply what they have learned, develop professional skills and gain experience that helps them enter the labour market. Internships also introduce students to real workplace settings, business processes and job responsibilities, while helping them build contacts that may support their future careers.
In the final year of their studies, students can put their theoretical knowledge into practice, expand on it and gain additional experience through the Professional Internship course.
Undergraduate students complete a 300-hour internship in their third year, while graduate students complete a 450-hour internship in their second year. They undertake their internships at one of the many organisations with which the Faculty has an internship agreement.
The Faculty works with numerous partner organisations in Croatia and abroad. Students may choose from this network or propose an organisation that matches their interests. The entire process—from application and organisation selection to documentation and evaluation—is managed through the EFRI Internship Portal, which enables students to complete each step in a clear and straightforward way.
These pages provide the information students need to plan and complete their internships, including instructions for using the Portal, guidance on finding a host organisation and information about internships abroad.
