The Faculty of Economics and Business, University of Rijeka, together with four EU partners, has developed the lifelong learning program Social Impact Manager. The aim of this program is to empower a new generation of managers to drive meaningful change within their organizations and communities. The program is designed to provide the essential skills and knowledge needed for today’s managers to help their organizations become socially responsible and develop sustainable business models that understand, include, and respect community needs.
During the program, participants will learn how to analyze local economic and environmental data, identify key challenges, and design projects that support community well-being and economic growth. By working with public and private organizations, as well as civil society organizations, participants will be able to propose solutions that take into account social, economic, and ethical factors.

In today’s evolving business environment, there is a growing demand for professionals who understand the impact of business activities on society, market trends, and social expectations. Target Groups
The Social Impact Manager (SIM) lifelong learning program is intended for:
- employees and managers in the private sector involved in strategic and operational decision-making, particularly in areas such as CSR, sustainability, ESG, project management, and social impact reporting
- employees in the public sector, local and regional government units, public institutions, and public companies involved in planning, implementing, and evaluating development, social, and environmental policies and projects
- staff and managers of civil society organizations, associations, foundations, and social enterprises working on social development, sustainability, and community engagement
- professionals involved in managing projects funded by national and EU sources, especially those focused on social impact, sustainable development, and stakeholder collaboration
- entrepreneurs and owners of small and medium-sized enterprises seeking to integrate social responsibility and sustainability into their business models
- individuals aiming to develop or advance careers in social impact management, sustainable business, ESG strategies, and social innovation
- all interested participants with at least a four-year secondary education whose professional interests relate to social impact, sustainable development, and responsible management
