1. Logging in to the Portal
Students log in to the Portal using their AAI identity after the Career Centre has registered them to use the system.
2. Setting up a student profile
After logging in, students should:
- open the My Profile section;
- complete the About Me field;
- upload a CV in Croatian and a CV in English;
- select their areas of interest using hashtags.
The Portal recommends organisations based on the interests selected.
3. Viewing organisations and available places
The organisations section lists all active employers offering internships. It shows the number of available places and the total number of places offered. If an organisation does not appear on the list, it currently has no open positions.
4. Proposing a new organisation
If a preferred organisation is not listed, students can propose it using the Propose an Employer option. The form asks for the organisation’s name and address, a contact person, an email address and an explanation of the proposal. After the form is submitted, the Career Centre checks the information and approves or rejects the proposal.
5. Reserving an internship place
An organisation’s profile contains a description of the internship tasks and other available information. By selecting Reserve an Internship, students submit an application to the organisation. The Portal then notifies the employer of the application.
6. Generating the Internship Referral
Once the organisation has accepted the student and the course coordinator has approved the start of the internship, the Portal automatically generates the Internship Referral. This document remains available to both the student and the organisation and can be downloaded directly from the Portal.
7. Documents available through the Portal
Students can access and submit all required documents through the Portal:
- Internship Diary;
- Report on the Achievement of Learning Outcomes;
- evaluation forms;
- Certificate of Internship Completion.
All documents are completed, submitted and approved within the Portal.
8. Evaluations and document approval
The mentor at the host organisation reviews and approves the student’s documents and completes an evaluation through the Portal. The student also evaluates the host organisation.
The system allows everyone involved—the mentor at the organisation, the Faculty mentor, the Career Centre and the course coordinator—to review and approve the documentation relevant to their role.
9. Final steps in the Portal
Once all required documents have been approved by the responsible persons, the Portal generates the Certificate of Professional Internship Completion and stores the documentation in the student’s electronic record.
